From the perspective view of performance, It’s so obvious that applying the template options in front end can take a lot of performance and waste a lot of resources.

For this, TotalPoll creates a cache css file with the options you’ve made to poll, The cached css file will get used whenever the visitors visit your site, This will lower down the performance required by your server to render the poll.

If you’re making any changes to your template css/scss files, You might notice that the changes are not applying, This is because caching is turned on.

If you want to temporarily stop css caching, You can enable WP_DEBUG from wp-config.php. You can also purge the cache easily from Tools page.
